Congratulations, Rick!

Rick Nye has been working at losing weight, improving muscle tone and overall health for slightly over one year. To date he has lost over 50 pounds with all the health indicators significantly improved. At first it was a struggle to find an eating plan that would accommodate going out to eat ( which he and his wife, Dee Dee, do frequently) and establishing a schedule that worked for exercise. Meta, owner of the Fitness Center, helped establish a routine that not only provided good exercise, but also hit a couple of trouble spots and old injuries. The encouragement of the staff have made the Fitness Center a fun place to come....Rick hits SFC about five days per week when he’s in town.

Rick provides two valuable pieces of input. First, at each goal level it is important to learn how to live at that level, maintaining weight and physical condition and making the necessary adjustments. Second, over last Thanksgiving/Christmas holiday period he let his guard down and gained ten pounds. Rick says, "Losing that ten pounds over again was a difficult thing to do. I will not put myself in that position again." Eating more adventurously is OK occasionally, as long as it is immediately followed by the approach to diet and exercise that has been proven to work.

Kudos to Rick for taking his health seriously and making the commitment to improve his habits. Job well done!!!
